Jeff’s New Team vs. Jeff’s Old Team: Lyon vs. Angers Preview

Arguably, the battle between these two teams has already been fought. Lyon and Angers spent all of last week in negotiations over Jeff Reine-Adélaïde, former Arsenal reject turned Angers phenom. The final sticking point was whether The Jeffster could play against Lyon on Friday.

The answer was soundly no. Angers – also known as the French Juventus – did not feel like getting scored upon by a player who was just in their jersey a few days ago.

Nabil Fekir moves to Real Betis. Yeah, you read that right.

Everyone’s favorite reality show, Finally Signing the Fekirs, switched networks yesterday. Next season, it will be syndicated in Spain, not France.

Am I being dramatic? Abso-feking-lutely not. It’s a transfer saga that’s gone on for over a year, one that’s emotionally drained Lyon fans, Liverpool fans, and everyone else in between.

Nabil Fekir in Saint Etienne colors. It’s a dark day for Lyon fans.

Dr Memphis and Mr Depay: The Two Faces of Lyon’s Dutchman

There are many versions of Memphis. There is rapper Memphis and there is fashionista Memphis. Fernando Marçal once claimed there is even a pastor Memphis. Crucially, there also exists footballer Memphis – the most contentious version – or versions – of them all.

Breaking Records and Barriers on the OL Academy Fields

The OL Academy fields are legendary. On just about any given day, the Academy fields are populated with future superstars, male and female, promising youngsters who are surely just a few years away from dominating European football, just like Alexandre Lacazette and Wendie Renard, or Karim Benzema and Amel Majri before them. And then there was me, for one day only, lacing up my spikes on those hallowed grounds.
